Some Changes To The Curriculum, Class Times And Prices
Ok… sooo… I have some good news and some bad news for you…
Firstly the good news – Madison Kuerschner has kindly agreed to stick around on a more permanent basis to teach hip hop, this is awesome especially for those of you who love hip hop dancing.
As a result we are now making some minor changes to the class times:
Hip hop classes will begin from 7pm:
- 7pm beginner / intermediate.
- 8pm intermediate / advanced.
Salsa classes will begin from 9pm:
- 9pm beginners.
- 10pm intermediate.
And now for the bad news…
Which is that we have had to increase prices, so now classes will be:
- $5 per lesson for hip hop ($10 for 2 lessons).
- $3 for salsa ($3 in total even if you do both lessons).
The reason for the increase is essentially to cover costs as well as to put a little bit more into promotion, since the Adelaide dance scene is quite competitive it’s necessary for us to spend a little bit more to improve services and to promote the classes.
But this is still good news…
Because this means that we will have a greater diversity of students meaning more people for you to dance and socialise with.
Don’t worry, we are still a not-for-profit organisation so any surplus money will simply go back into organising special events such as the Halloween party we had last week.
The other good news is that classes are still way lower than most dance schools charge, the average cost of classes is usually between $12-$15, so you are still getting the same quality instruction for less than half the price and now you also have a greater selection too… with hip hop and salsa classes on offer!
Alrighty, the changes take effect as of this week so be sure to spread the word and let everyone know.
